Parts of a cell phone: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Many times we use things in such a daily way that we overlook how they are made or what parts are part of it. That's why this time we're going to tell you what components your phone has inside and how each one of them makes it work.

First of all, we must understand that a cell phone is a complex electronic device that includes various parts and components which we are going to explain below:

  • Logic card or motherboard : It is the main component that connects and controls the rest of the components. It contains the processor, RAM memory, camera modules, sensors, storage memory, among other elements.
  • RAM memory: It is the temporary memory of the cell phone and is used to execute processes and applications. The more RAM a cell phone has, the greater its ability to run multiple tasks simultaneously, this memory is very different from internal memory or ROM
  • Internal memory (ROM): It is the internal storage space of the cell phone, where most of the cell phone information is stored, such as: applications, files, photos, videos, among others.
  • Screen (display): It is the component that shows the graphical interface of the operating system and applications. It also includes the touch panel for user interaction.
  • Battery: It is the component that supplies energy to the cell phone for its operation.
  • Camera: It is the component that allows you to capture photos and videos. On some cell phones, multiple cameras can be included to improve image quality and functionality.
  • Speaker: It is the component that emits sound for the reproduction of music, videos, calls and notifications.
  • Microphone: It is the component that captures sound for phone calls and audio recording.
  • Connectivity: Includes components for internet connection (Wi-Fi, mobile data), Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, etc.
  • Charging hub: This is the port where the device's charging cable plugs into. On most mobile phones, this port is a USB type, allowing the device to be charged via a USB power source, such as a wall charger or a computer USB port. It is an important part of the device, since it is the means by which the phone receives electrical energy for its operation. By connecting a charging cable to the mobile charging hub, an electrical connection is established between the device and the power source, allowing the battery to charge and remain charged during use.
